Murrells Inlet is known as the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina". The Marsh Walk has a half mile Boardwalk that offers nice views while dining on locally caught fish, clams, oysters and crabs. Surfside Beach is a seaside community with many of the homes for sale located just a few blocks from the beach. There are homes and condos on rental programs which add to the tourism in the area. Little River is home to 1 of the 2 swing bridges located in Horry County! The area has a quick outlet to the ocean for boaters. Aynor is a small town on the west side of Horry County that is another opportunity for rural living. The area can offer that peace and quiet that is often absent in some of the busier areas of the beach. Longs also offers a country atmosphere, but shopping in North Myrtle Beach is just 15 minutes away. Longs is located between Conway, Little River, and Loris. Conway is a large area and has different types of housing with 55+ retirement communities, country homes with a few acres, horse farms, and affordable single-family homes! It is the county seat of Horry County and remains reasonably close to the beach.
